Meet Our Founder
K.C. Briggs is the Founder and Principal Consultant, bringing decades of experience developing leaders, building high-functioning teams, and guiding organizations through complex change - with a strong emphasis on caring for people along the way. She spent 22 years in federal service as a leader and land manager, including 17 seasons supporting wildland fire suppression. She served as a program manager, supervisor, manager, line officer, and leader in change efforts nationally prior to her retirement. With experience in decision-making, people leadership, and mission delivery, K.C. played key roles in leading the development and implementation of agency-wide work environment improvement programs for an organization of more than 30,000 employees and has supported leadership and team development for over 25 years. Her diverse experience positions her well to help you or your organization.
K.C.’s leadership journey began decades ago, with her first significant management role in 1999 managing a family practice medical clinic. She quickly understood that people matter most - and that when individuals come together as a team, extraordinary outcomes are possible. Her experience spans the public, private and non-profit sectors. She has worked in settings including healthcare, social services, public education, nonprofits, and government service. This has shaped a grounded, human-centered approach to leadership with rich focus on supporting people to increase their ability to contribute through being a catalyst for growth. Her ability to inspire growth and bring people together towards a common objective is well developed and rooted in her own values of dignity, curiosity, relationships, safety and contribution. She holds a deep belief that effective leadership creates both strong results and healthy, productive organizations.
